Description in Lithuanian

Sign.: HIROSHI HATTORI 1969 SUPER STRUCTURE #5 (reverse ant porėmio)

Hiroshi Hattori (g. 1932, Tokijuje) – japonų menininkas, siejamas su pokario geometrine abstrakcija, opartu ir hard-edge tapyba. 7-ojo dešimtmečio pabaigos ir 8-ojo pradžios kūriniuose jis tyrinėjo optinę iliuziją, dviprasmiškas erdvines konstrukcijas bei tapytos geometrijos ir pačios drobės formos santykį.

1953 m. Hattori baigė Bunka Gakuin institutą Tokijuje, o 1956 m. tapo Japan Modern Art Association nariu. 1958–1961 m. jis surengė keturias personalines parodas Yoseido Gallery Tokijuje. 1963 m. menininkas studijavo Art Students League of New York, po to aktyviai veikė Jungtinėse Valstijose. 1964, 1965, 1966 ir 1969 m. Hattori dalyvavo New England Exhibition parodose Silvermine Guild, New Canaan, Connecticut, o 1969 m. buvo apdovanotas Larry Aldrich Award.

7-ojo dešimtmečio pabaigoje Hattori kūryba jau buvo įsitvirtinusi JAV optinės ir geometrinės abstrakcijos aplinkoje. Archyviniai dokumentai liudija jo ryšius su Henri Gallery bei Finch College Museum of Art Contemporary Study Wing, o The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York archyve saugoma atskira 1972 m. Hattori byla, susijusi su muziejaus Art Lending Service ir Art Advisory Service programomis. Jo darbų taip pat buvo Addison Gallery of American Art ir Roland Gibson Art Museum kolekcijose.
