Amelija Lechovičiūtė

Amelija Lechovičiūtė is a painter whose painting “Bijūnai” (Peonies, 2021) is offered by the gallery. The work is painted in acrylic on canvas and measures 99 × 49 cm. Its tall, narrow vertical format holds a still life: against a dark background stands a vase with an abundant bouquet of peonies. The yellowish, orange and pink blossoms are painted with thick, short strokes that follow the shape of the petals, set among dark and light green leaves. The warm tones of the flowers contrast strongly with the deep, dark surroundings, and highlights fall on the vase and the surface it stands on. The painting is signed in the lower left corner.
